Begin Your Day on Seminyak Beach
Guests find that staying in Seminyak Villas such as the Villa Rukun is the perfect starting point for venturing out to explore the island. Things to do in Bali include surfing on one of Bali’s famous beaches (something Seminyak is famous for) or taking a short excursion offshore to do a little snorkelling or diving. Just 300m from Seminyak beach, Villa Rukun is easily within walking distance. Visit the trendy shops along the way as Seminyak is the area for fashionable shopping not to be found elsewhere on the island.
There and Back in a Single Day
One of the things which you’ll find comforting is the fact that Bali is a tiny island where you can reach literally any point in a single day with time to make it ‘home’ again for a tasty BBQ at the villa, or an evening in one of Seminyak’s upscale restaurants or dance clubs. Many people visiting Bali for the first time are enthralled by the Buddhist Monastery or Hindu Temples in the north and mountainous central regions of the island. You will find that even the people in the remotest rural regions speak a modicum of English, so getting information is not usually a problem.
Tips for Travelling Around Bali
Tripadvisor Bali suggests that you hire a rental car for your excursions out into the wonderful land that is Bali because the cost is actually less than you would expect. Quite often hiring a car for an entire day, approximately eight to ten hours, is less expensive than taking a taxi or bus to and from locations you want to visit. As mentioned, many of the locals speak English so you shouldn’t experience any problems getting directions, or providing them for that matter! You might want to pack light for a day touring the island so that you can walk around a bit to explore the sights.
When staying in Seminyak Villas you will find that you can come back to your Tripadvisor Bali villa each night assured that the maid staff and grounds keepers will have the place clean and cosy for your return. Optional maid services can be provided to have dinner waiting for you in the evenings if requested, but many of our guests prefer to visit the wonderful International restaurants in Seminyak or to have a quiet BBQ at Villa Rukun to discuss the day’s events. House keeping service is provided on a daily basis and it includes:
- house cleaning,
- preparation of breakfast,
- guest laundry,
- garden pool maintenance,
- and many more small services that will make your stay even smoother.. A regular day in the villa:
The house maid comes in quietly around 7 in the morning, and without a sound tidies up the living room, and prepares breakfast, while the gardeners and the pool maintenance staff make sure the guests will wake up to a clean garden and pool.
After breakfast the maid will make the beds, clean the bedrooms, tends to the laundry and if the guests have so required, will shop and cook for lunch. The morning maid service ends at 3 pm. Later in the afternoon, the evening maid prepares the beds for the night, sets up the mosquito nets, turns on some lights, plugs on the electric mosquito repellents. The evening maid can also do some shopping and cooking if requested.
In the evening, the maintenance and security staff, are in charge of watering the gardens, turning on and off the garden lights. Some one is on watch all night outside the Seminyak Suite, and can be contacted any time through an emergency number.
Our guests can enjoy a very peaceful holiday, knowing they can rely on the staff at all times for help or assistance should it be needed.
Villa Rukun, a fabulous Villa in Seminyak, is 20 minutes away from the airport, and 400 meters from the beach. It is located in a quiet side street in a very animated area in the heart of all commodities : car and motorbike rental, restaurants, bars, boutiques and supermarket. It is easy to find a car or a taxi with an English speaking driver.
This location is an ideal starting point for exploring the whole island.
